Scotland international Ryan Wilson has been cited for an alleged foul play following the recently concluded Six Nations Championship clash against England at BT Murrayfield last weekend.

The incident happened at the stroke of half-time when Wilson, who was pinned to the floor, raked his right hand that made contact with the eye area of England number eight Nathan Hughes.

The 28-year-old will appear before a disciplinary panel on Wednesday and if proved guilty, he will face a minimum ban of four weeks that can even go over three months for higher end sanctions.

Earlier, Wilson was also involved in a tunnel scuffle with England's Owen Farrell before the kick-off on last Saturday.

Scotland, who reclaimed the Calcutta Cup with a 25-13 win over England will face Ireland and Italy in the final two rounds on 10th and 17th March respectively.
