England flanker Sam Underhill will miss the third and deciding Test against Australia to be played in Sydney on Saturday following a concussion.

The 25-year-old becomes the third forward to be ruled out due to a head injury and now will head back home along with Maro Itoje, who also was removed during the opening half during the Brisbane game.

Underhill already missed three months of action for his club Bath Rugby due to head injuries.

England are already without first-choice openside flanker, Tom Curry, who headed back home since suffering a third concussion in six months during the opening game in Perth.

The Rugby Football Union in a statement confirmed that no replacements will be named for Underhill and Itoje.

Northampton's Lewis Ludlam and Leicester Tigers second row Ollie Chessum are now set to be part of the England line up when they face the Wallabies on Saturday while Jack Willis has been given clearance after he pulled out of the second Test due to a rib injury.

Australia started the series with a 30-28 win in Perth before England bounced back at Suncorp Stadium with a 25-17 victory to level the series 1-1.
