Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill has made wholesale changes to the line-up ahead of the Pro 14 encounter against Leinster to be played on Friday at RDS Arena.

The Scottish regional side started the season with back to back wins but their campaign went off track with defeats to Benetton Treviso and Scarlets. Fraser McKenzie will take over the reins while injured Magnus Bradbury is replaced by Cornell du Preez.

Jason Tovey and Sam Hidalgo-Clyne line up at half-back, with Scotland Sevens player James Johnstone and Phil Burleigh outside them.

Glenn Bryce and Dougie Fife join Tom Brown in the back three, while Darryl Marfo makes his second start in the front row.

Cockerill is hoping for the changes to make impact straightaway as the bid to return back to winning ways.

"We've made a few changes to the side, but we have great depth across the squad.

"The guys who've come in will provide us with competition and I expect them to fight for a place in this team.

"If we match the levels of desire that were shown against Scarlets last weekend, I have every confidence that we can come away with a positive result."
