Edinburgh 35-18 Dragons

A clinical performance from Edinburgh saw them overcome Dragons and register a 35-18 bonus point victory in their Pro 14 encounter on Friday.

This is their second win this season as they occupy the second place in Conference B while Dragons occupy the sixth position in the same group.

Gavin Henson looked at his best as kicked a penalty early in the game and followed it with a drop goal that came in the 14th minute as Dragons claimed a six point lead.

However, Edinburgh fought back with a double penalty from Duncan Weir while fullback Blair Kinghorn also crossed over as they came from behind and took a 13-6 lead which was reduced to four points with Henson kicking his third penalty at the stroke of half time.

Richard Cockerill's side suffered a minor setback when Weir was sin-binned in the 32nd minute but it did not prove too costly for them.

The home side soon increased the gap to 11 points when scrum-half Sam Hidalgo-Clyne strolled past the post in the 46th minute and Weir followed it with a conversion but the Dragons were in no mood to relent as three consecutive penalties from Henson helped them reduce the gap to two points.

As the game was heading for a tight finish with all to play for in the final quarter, touchdowns from Solomoni Rasolea and Robbie Fruean in the 68th and 75th minutes respectively helped Edinburgh complete a 17 point victory with bonus point.
