Rebels 33-10 Brumbies, AAMI Park
Scorecard

Rebels came up with a complete all-round performance as they went on to beat Brumbies 33-10 in their Super Rugby encounter at AAMI Park on Friday.

Rebels suffered an early setback in the game when hooker Jordan Uelese was sin-binned in the 8th minute during which Chance Peni crossed over to get Brumbies off the mark.

The response from the hosts came when Amanaki Mafi crashed past the line and soon Reece Hodge also scored a try with the centre also slotting conversions on both the occasions as Rebels ended the first half with a 14-5 lead.

After the first 11 minutes in the second half went without a point, Henry Speight touched down for Brumbies to cut down the gap to four points but their comeback was dented by a sin-bin to replacement Les Makin in the 61st minute.

Rebels made full use of the numerical advantage with Hodge (63'), Jack Maddocks (66') and Michael Ruru (70') all scoring tries to complete a resounding 23 point victory.

Rebels maintained their position at the top of the Australian Conference with three straight wins while Brumbies are at fourth place.
