Saracens fly-half Owen Farrell has made a timely recovery from a rib injury to become available for his side's crucial Aviva Premiership title clash against Exeter Chiefs at Twickenham on Saturday.

The England centre walked out of the playing field in the concluding stages of the semi-finals clash against Leicester Tigers at Allianz Park after taking two heavy hits in quick succession.

Saracens director of rugby, Mark McCall has earlier admitted that Farrell was racing against time to be available for the Twickenham showdown, however, the 24-year-old has recovered adequately to start at 10.

Farrell's availability will boost Saracens' bid to become the first side since Leicester in 2010 to successfully defend the league title.

McCall is also cautious against a determined Exeter side as his men are busy in preparation for the climax.

"Exeter are a top side and they've proven that over the course of the season.

"It's going to be a really good game, two very good sides, two hard-working sides going toe-to-toe and we know what is at stake."

Scotland centre Duncan Taylor is also available and eager to pair up with captain Brad Barritt, whereas England prop Mako Vunipola who is making his 100th appearance for the London based club, will start in the front-row along with hooker Schalk Brits and prop Petrus Du Plessis.

England duo Maro Itoje and George Kruis will pair up at lock whereas Aviva Premiership's record points-scorer Charlie Hodgson will have one last outing off the bench before retirement.

"Our challenge at the start of the week was to be as prepared as we could be and we've had a good couple of days but what happens on Saturday is the important thing," said McCall.

"It promises to be a great final."
