Northampton secured a European Champions Cup spot for the next season after beating Gloucester 28-20 at Kingsholm.

Jim Mallinder's men put up a stunning recovery in the second-half to wipe out the five-point half-time deficit and score a victory with a margin of eight points.

Gloucester scored all of its points in the first-half, including two tries by Lloyd Evans (33') and Ross Moriarty (38'). Fly-half Greig Laidlaw kicked 10 points with the boot which included two penalties and two conversions.

Winger George North's try on the 47th minute followed by extras added by fly-half Stephen Myler brought Saints back in the game.

Myler further increased the lead by scoring two more penalties on the 50th and 53rd minute.

Despite this defeat, Gloucester finished their Premiership season campaign on the eighth position with 49 points in the standings followed by Bath on ninth position with 48 points. 

Widely regarded as the most competitive rugby union league in the world...it can only be the Gallagher Premiership.
