The disciplinary hearing of Newcastle Falcons lock Calum Green on a biting incident involving Sale Sharks' Rob Webber has been adjourned after the panel seeks more medical evidence.

The incident took place in the 22nd minute at St James' Park and the 28-year-old was let-off by referee Craig Maxwell-Keys due to lack of evidence.

Citing commissioner Andy Blyth cited Green following video evidence and as a result, a disciplinary hearing was set on Wednesday which has now been postponed to 2nd April in Leeds after the independent disciplinary panel wanted to examine more medical evidence on the incident.

If proved guilty, Green will face a minimum suspension of 12 weeks which is the sanction for the low-range offence.

Newcastle Falcons are currently battling relegation in the ongoing Gallagher Premiership where they managed just six wins from 17 games.
