Montpellier have confirmed the signing of France international Vincent Rattez from rivals La Rochelle for the 2020/21 season.

The 28-year-old signing comes after the Top 14 club lost the services of Fijians Timoci Nagusa and Nemani Nadolo to Grenoble and Leicester Tigers respectively.

Rattez will rejoin head coach Xavier Garbajosa at Montpellier after previously working under him at La Rochelle when he took incharge in 2018.

The 5ft 11in wing started his professional rugby career with Narbonne in 2012 before moving to La Rochelle in 2016 and has made 98 appearances for them scoring 27 tries. He has now signed a three-year contract with Montpellier.

He went on to make his international debut for France in 2017 and has gone on to play five Tests including a solitary appearance during the World Cup in Japan last year.
