Worcester Warriors 23-23 Gloucester Rugby, Sixways
Scorecard

Worcester Warriors saw out a late fightback from Gloucester as the Aviva Premiership encounter between the two teams at Sixways ended in a gripping 23-23 draw on Friday.

Worcester Warriors looked comfortable with a lead of 20-9 at one stage but Gloucester capitalised on the red card to Alafoti Faosiliva and scored two converted tries in a span of seven minutes.

Skipper Greig Laidlaw led Gloucester into the lead with his penalty kick in the third minute but Ben Te'o with assistance from scrum-half Jonny Arr scored the opening try of the game for Worcester Warriors in the 21st minute.

Laidlaw's second penalty in the 25th minute took Gloucester back into the lead but it was short lived as Worcester Warriors scored their second try with Cooper Vuna touching down. A further conversion and a penalty from Ryan Lamb took Gloucester to a 15-6 lead at half-time.

The only point-scorer for Gloucester in the first half, Laidlaw, reduced the gap to six points with an early penalty in the second half but Te'o's replacement Perry Humphreys added the third try in the game for the home side. However, that was not before Faosiliva's red card sanction in the 51st minute for a dangerous tackle on Gloucester lock Mariano Galarza.

With Worcester being one-man down, Gloucester made full use of it scoring two converted tries through Matt Scott and Henry Purdy to level the scores at 23-23. However, Worcester Warriors stood their ground and ensured the final 10 minutes ended denying any point to Gloucester to finish the game in a draw.

Both teams are yet to win a game in this season having played two games each.
