Ireland head coach Andy Farrell has released five players from the Rugby World Cup training squad ahead of their Rugby World Cup warm-up game against England.

Caolin Blade, Gavin Coombes, Calvin Nash, Jamie Osborne and Kieran Treadwell will return to their respective provinces as they prepare for the pre-season.

The squad has a total of 38 members following the inclusion of Munster prop Jeremy Loughman this week.

Farrell will announce the 33-man final World Cup squad on 28th August.

Following the game against England, Ireland will also face Samoa in another warm-up game on 26th August before they face Romania in the tournament opener in Matmut Atlantique on 9th September.
