Former All Blacks wing Nehe Milner-Skudder will be making a return to Hurricanes after signed by the Super Rugby club on a short-term contract.

Having started his career with provincial side Manawatu in 2011, Milner-Skudder already played for Hurricanes between 2015 and 2019 before moving to Highlanders in 2020.

He also had a brief stint with Ngati Porou East Coast in 2021 and now is set to rejoin his former club Hurricanes on a six-week stint which will provide them cover until the likes of Jordie Barrett, TJ Perenara, Ardie Savea, Tyrel Lomax, Asafo Aumua and Dane Coles return in February.

The 30-year-old said he had opportunities from overseas but has decided to remain in New Zealand for family reasons.

"I had a look at a few opportunities over in the States, but we have actually got our first baby - my wife and I have our first bubba due in January,'' he told NewstalkZB.

"So all roads lead to staying here for the arrival of our new birth.''

Milner-Skudder also played 13 Tests for New Zealand between 2015 and 2018 and was part of their victorious World Cup campaign in 2015.
