Gloucester Rugby have confirmed a quartet of players including former England and British & Irish Lions centre Billy Twelvetrees have penned new deals with the Aviva Premiership club.

Apart from Twelvetrees, Henry Trinder, Tom Marshall and Lewis Ludlow have also agreed to new terms with the Cherry and Whites.

Twelvetrees joined the club in 2012 and has racked over 100 appearances for the Kingsholm unit while Trinder is in his 10th season with the club and one of their longest-serving players.

"It's been a great start to the season, and it was an easy decision for me to remain at the club," said Twelvetrees.

"There's a lot of hard work still to do with this team, but I'm enjoying my rugby so much here, and there is so much exciting stuff still to come."

Versatile New Zealand-born full-back Marshall, 27, is yet to feature this season due to a dislocated shoulder, while back-row forward Ludlow, 23, made his first-team breakthrough in 2013 and recently made his 50th appearance.

Gloucester are at the second position in the Aviva Premiership table with seven wins from 10 games.
