Georgia 10-44 Scotland, Tbilisi

Scotland ran a five-try riot as they trounced Georgia 10-44 in their encounter in Tbilisi on Saturday.

Georgia managed just three points in the first half that came through a penalty from Soso Matiashvili in the 33rd minute but Scotland dominated the proceedings before the break.

After Greig Laidlaw kicked back to back penalty goals, Ben Toolis crossed over in the 14th minute. Laidlaw also kicked the conversion to make the scoreline 3-13.

The Dark Blues stretched their lead to 20 points with a try from Rory Hutchinson in the 19th minute and Laidlaw followed with a conversion and a penalty goal as the teams went into the break with a 3-23 scoreline.

Hutchinson extended Scotland's lead further with his second in the 48th minute that was improved by Laidlaw making it 3-30 before Georgia finally managed their opening try in the 59th minute through Karlen Asieshvili that was improved by Tedo Abzhandadze to make it 10-30.

With no more breakthrough for the hosts, further tries from Darcy Graham (63') and Scott Cummings (74') ensured Scotland went on to complete a 34 point win.

The two teams will meet once again on 6th September at Murrayfield Stadium.
