Finn Russell 'very likely' to join Bath Rugby - Report

Bath are looking to sign Scotland international Finn Russell ahead of the 2023/24 season according to a report.

Russell's contract with his current club Racing 92 ends at the end of the ongoing campaign and is now looking to head to the Recreation Ground according to a report in Sportsmail which says the talks are at the 'advance level'.

The 30-year-old's contract with the French club is in the range of £850,000 and is set to join Bath as a marquee player which would exempt him from the current salary cap.

Earlier, Russell was controversially left out of Scotland's initial autumn internationals squad but was recalled following an injury to Adam Hastings and had started in the games against New Zealand and Fiji.

Bath are positioned eighth in the Gallagher Premiership table with three wins from eight matches.
