Exeter prop Tomas Francis has been banned for two weeks after admitting to a charge of kicking during the Premiership Rugby clash against the Harlequins on Saturday at Sandy Park.

The 24-year-old Wales international was red carded for kicking Quins scrum-half Danny Care, was ruled to have committed a "low-end offence".

After pleading guilty to the charge, the Francis was suspended until October 3, 2016, thus missing Exeter's clash against Bristol Rugby and Northampton Saints.

The RFU said in a statement: " The player pleaded guilty to the charge and was banned for two weeks until the 3rd October 2016."

Disciplinary panel chairman Gareth Graham said: "The panel found this a low-end offence due to the fact that it was a glancing reckless contact between Francis' shin and the back of Danny Care's head which caused no injury."

This is the second time in the current year Francis has picked up a ban. In March, he was suspended for eight weeks for eye gouging England prop Dan Cole during Wales' Six Nations defeat at Twickenham.
