Former Wales Under-20 Jason Tovey, who is on a loan with Edinburgh is hoping for a change of fortune ahead of the Pro12 clash against Benetton Treviso on Friday.

Edinburgh are languishing at 10th in the Pro12 table after winning just one out of their five games. In their previous game against the defending champions Connacht, the Murrayfield based outfit were trailing by eight points at the end of the first half but eventually succumbed to a 28-15 defeat after the second half performance let them down.

Treviso at the other hand have their own problems and are positioned 11th in the table with their only win coming against Dragons and Tovey feels it is a chance for Edinburgh to get things on track.

"It's a chance for us to put things right at home," the Welshman told Edinburgh's official website. "We know they're going to bring a big heavy pack and try to take us on up front, but our forwards will train hard this week and put things right and we'll move forward.

"Last week after 60 minutes we were still in it. We were looking over at Connacht with their hands on knees when we were in their 22, but little errors cost us and I think that was the turning point. When they had the chance to score, they took the points, and we made errors in the 22.

"It's a tough one, but we're professionals and we've got to move on. We trained hard this week as we do usually, and it'll be exactly the same next week.

"The way we played against Connacht - we threw it around a bit more and we scored two good tries - if we can take that into Friday's game, we'll look to put our own stamp on it and start moving the ball around."

Interim coach Duncan Hodge has made five changes to his line-up with Rory Sutherland, Hamish Watson and Nasi Manu making a comeback.

"We've made a few small changes this week, just even things like the timing of when we do things," Hodge told Press Association Sport.

"They are not major changes and I'm not saying they are going to make a huge difference but it's just about trying to freshen things up."
