New Zealand head coach Steve Hansen reckons the winner of the Saturday's game in Dublin between Ireland and All Blacks will have the right to call themselves 'the best side in the world'.

The All Blacks are at the top position in the World Rugby Rankings with 92.96 rating points but if there is one team at a close distance to them it is Ireland with 90.12 points who have a lead of close to four points with the third placed Wales.

Ireland's only win over the All Blacks in the 31 games between the two sides came in 2016 when they registered a 40-29 win in Chicago but Joe Schmidt's side had a fabulous 2018 year that saw them clinch the Grand Slam during the Six Nations earlier this year while they also won the away series against Australia 2-1 during the summer series.

The European side started their autumn international campaign with 54-7 and 28-17 wins over Italy and Argentina respectively.

Even though, New Zealand hold the advantage in the head to head record, Hansen believes the game in Dublin on Saturday will provide a psychological advantage ahead of the World Cup next year.

"It is one and two, so whoever wins will be the best side in the world regardless of rankings.

"They are the number two side in the world and you don't get to play one and two that often when they are in two separate hemispheres, so when they do come about, they become pretty big games.

"That is the mental state people take out of it so it is going to be a good one.

"There is a fierce rivalry there and both packs will want to dominate,.

"Everyone seems to find another 10 percent when they play us because it is a good story if you can beat the All Blacks and everyone gets excited by that.

"So that will bring a lot more intensity to the game and I am picking it will be fast and the physical side of the game will be tough as will the mental side."
