Wasps have confirmed that prop Biyi Alo has signed a contract extension with the Gallagher Premiership club.

Alo joined Wasps in 2019 as an injury cover but went on to sign a full-time contract this season and has made 11 appearances for them during which he scored two tries.

“I've come along way since being at Wasps. I just want to carry on improving and showing how much this group means to me.” said Alo to the official website of the club.

The 26-year-old's professional rugby debut came with Saracens in 2014 and had represented Bedford Blues (loan), Worcester Warriors and Coventry before heading to Ricoh Arena.

He also has the experience of representing England at Under 18 and Under 20 levels.

"Biyi is a very popular member of the squad and has worked hard at his game since arriving at Wasps," said Wasps head coach Lee Blackett.

"He’s done really well on and off the field and deservedly got his opportunities recently. His set piece game has improved massively, while still being a big threat with ball in hand around the field.

"As coaches, we look forward to working with Biyi as we still feel he will only get better.”
