Wales is likely to miss Alun Wyn Jones in the start of the Six Nations tournament next year following a knee injury.

The 35-year-old, who recently became the most capped player in Test history suffered the injury during the Autumn Nations Cup against Italy on 5th December and Ospreys head coach Toby Booth reckons he might be sidelined for at least 10 weeks.

With Wales kicking start their 2021 campaign of Six Nations on 7th February against Ireland, Jones is unlikely to be fit in time for the opener and games against Scotland and England.

"We've spoken to the powers that be in relation to his knee," said Booth.

"We think he'll be double-figure weeks.

"If I said it to Alun, he'd say: 'I'll be back in eight. That's the nature of the beast.

"He's probably going to be somewhere around that sort of time frame, which is disappointing for him and obviously for us.

"If anyone's going to get back early, it'll be him."
