The upcoming United Rugby Championship fixture between Ulster and Leinster scheduled to be played at Kingspan Stadium on Saturday has been postponed.

The decision follows after Ulster squad have reported positive for Covid-19 in the latest round of testing.

"The URC Medical Advisory Group has liaised with the medical teams at Cardiff, Dragons, Glasgow Warriors, Ulster and their respective health authorities and deemed that these fixtures cannot go ahead as scheduled," read a statement from URC.

"The United Rugby Championship will now consider available dates to reschedule these games."

Ulster will be locking horns with Munster in the next round on 9th January at Thomond Park.

Leinster have not played a game since 11th December when they defeated Bath Rugby with their Heineken Champions Cup match against Montpellier and the Boxing Day fixture against Munster also called-off due to positive Covid cases and have returned to training on Tuesday.

Leinster's next weekend game against Emirates Lions has also been postponed to 26th February.
