Uncapped Edinburgh duo George Taylor and Charlie Shiel added to Scotland squad

Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend has called up three players including uncapped Edinburgh duo George Taylor and Charlie Shiel in the squad ahead of the second round of the Six Nations game against Wales.

Taylor made his debut for Edinburgh in 2018 and has played five times for the club in the ongoing season of Pro14.

Meanwhile, scrum-half Shiel has been part of the Scottish regional since 2016 and had represented Scotland Under 16, Under 18, Under 20 and Sevens team.

Apart from the duo, Glasgow Warriors prop D’Arcy Rae has been recalled into the squad with the 26-year-old's only appearance with the Dark Blues coming during the 2019 Six Nations game against Ireland.

Townsend also has released four players including Ewan Ashman, Blair Kinghorn, Jamie Dobie and Rufus McLean back to their respective clubs.

Scotland, recently registered their first win over England at Twickenham Stadium in 38 years that saw them reclaim the Calcutta Cup in the opening round of the tournament and they will now host Wayne Pivac's men in the second round on 13th February.
