Toulon 11-6 Scarlets, Stade Felix Mayol
Scorecard

Toulon scored all 11 points in the second half as they came from behind to edge out Scarlets 11-6 in the quarter-final of the European Challenge Cup at Stade Felix Mayol on Saturday.

The French side will now face Leicester Tigers in the semi-final of the tournament.

Toulon thought they scored the try first but Sergio Parisse's efforts were denied after Television Replays showed a forward pass in the build up. The agony continued for Toulon as Baptiste Serin also missed a penalty kick at the stroke of half-time.

The missed chances proved costly for Toulon as Scarlets had a six point lead in the opening half courtesy two penalties from Leigh Halfpenny in the 4th and 30th minutes.

Louis Carbonel replaced Serin in the second half and he helped Toulon get off the mark with a three-pointer in the 54th minute and two minutes later it was Parisse's turn to go over the line making the scoreline 8-6.

Scarlets continued to press on but Steff Evans efforts were stopped by a last minute tackle from Toulon as Carbonel kicked his second penalty in the 73rd minute to complete a thrilling win for the French side to keep them alive in the tournament.
