Some exciting rugby this weekend ranging from Japan to France and from New Zealand to Ireland. With help from Alex Shaw and Scott Donaldson, we cast our eyes at the players of the week.

We start our review with Scott Donaldson and Super Rugby Team of Round 8 is here, based on statistics from fantasy rugby website www.testrugby.com. These statistics are based on their definitions.

Before you go out buying these players, do your research. It has been revealed that the best player of Super Rugby Round 8, Duane Vermeulen from the Stormers will be returning to South Africa to rest rather than continue to tour with his team. Players from some teams, like the Rebels, Chiefs and Hurricanes will have the bye next week.

Most people will run out of trades, so it is best to keep your cheap players as their value won't drop as much when they are not playing, allowing you to still buy some decent replacements in other positions.

It is bad going into a round knowing that you will be carrying at least a few players. The rotation of international players and two three-team buy rounds in a row have made things difficult for fantasy rugby managers.
