New Zealand 7s 0 - 15 South Africa 7s

South Africa started the Men's World Rugby Sevens Series with a victory as they blanked South Africa 0-15 in the final of the Dubai 7s on Saturday.

The opening score of the game came in the seventh minute when Siviwe Soyizwapi touched down and three minutes later Chris Dry also went over the line to take the scoreline 10-0.

As New Zealand failed to score a point, Seabelo Senatla capped off a fantastic game for South Africa with his side's final try as they completed a 15-0 victory. The result also ended South Africa's of three defeats against New Zealand.

“The crowd in Dubai is amazing, they always come with the numbers whether it’s Fiji, New Zealand or South Africa and I’d like to say thank you to everyone – I hope we have made you guys proud this weekend," said HSBC Player of the Final Rosko Specman.

Earlier, South Africa went on to defeat Argentina 12-5 and went on to beat Samoa 38-7 to reach the final while New Zealand registered victories over USA and England in the quarter-final and semi-final respectively.

Meanwhile, England went on to edge out Samoa 19-17 to win the third place while Fiji sealed the ninth place with 40-17 win over Canada.
