South Africa ring changes for World Cup game against Canada

South Africa head coach Rassie Erasmus has made 13 changes to the starting line-up for the upcoming World Cup game against Canada in Kobe.

The Springboks are positioned second in Pool B and a win on Tuesday is likely to put them into the quarter-finals with Italy, who are also with 10 points face an uphill task of taking on the All Blacks in the final round.

Skipper Siya Kolisi is among the two players to have retained his place from their win over Italy and is joined by Kwagga Smith at openside and Francois Louw at number eight. The second-row comprise of Francois Louw and RG Snyman with Thomas du Toit and Vincent Koch at props.

The game also sees Schalk Brits returning at hooker while Elton Jantjies takes the kicking responsibility with Cobus Reinach at scrum-half. With Damian de Allende retaining his centre forming partnership with Frans Steyn while Damian Willemse has been slotted at fullback.
