Brumbies have confirmed that prop Sefo Kautai has signed a contract extension with the Super Rugby club.

Kautai made his professional rugby debut with Waikato in 2016 and went on to make his Super Rugby debut for Chiefs a year later. He also made a brief stint with Japanese club Kobelco Steelers before joining Brumbies in 2021.

“Canberra has treated me as one of their own and I really enjoy the community and the people here,” said Kautai to the club's official website.

“I’m really happy to extend my time with the Brumbies.”

“I'm grateful for the club's trust in me and am excited to continue my time with my fellow teammates.”

Brumbies head coach Stephen Larkham is delighted with Kautai remaining with the club until the 2025 season.

“It is great to keep Sefo on board together with our recent re-signings announced this past fortnight.”

“Sefo has become a reliable player for our squad and will play a part in onboarding our young players coming through the academy."

Brumbies are positioned fifth in the Super Rugby Pacific table with three wins from four matches.

“From the day he joined, he has always felt comfortable at the Brumbies and it is great that he will continue his journey here in Canberra.”
