Sean Cronin and Luke McGrath sign contract extensions with Leinster

Ireland internationals Sean Cronin and Luke McGrath become the latest players to sign contract extensions with Leinster.

The news follows after the Irish province confirmed the signing of Crusaders prop Michael Alaalatoa while Dave Kearney, Ross Molony, James Tracy, Tom Clarkson, Jack Conan, Scott Penny, Hugo Keenan and David Hawkshaw have signed new deals.

Cronin joined Leinster in 2011 after stints with Munster and Connacht and has represented the province in 192 games. He has played 72 Tests for Ireland since his international debut in 2009 and last was part of the national side during the 2019 World Cup.

Meanwhile, former Ireland Under 20 international McGrath is a product of Leinster Academy and went on to make the senior debut for club in 2012 and has gone on to make 146 appearances for the club scoring 38 tries. He was also named the Leinster Player of the Year in the 2016/17 season. He has also played 19 Tests for Ireland between 2016 and 2019.

Leinster recently completed their fourth successive Pro14 title win in the 2020/21 season and will face La Rochelle in the semi-final of the Heineken Champions Cup on 2nd May.
