Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend has added centre Matt Scott and uncapped prop Murray McCallum to the training squad ahead of the new domestic season.

Scott, who switched from Edinburgh to Gloucester in 2016 has featured in 39 Tests for the Dark Blues and was also part of the squad during the recently concluded summer tour.

Meanwhile, McCallum, a former Under 20 international made his professional rugby debut in 2016 with Edinburgh.

Both, Scott and McCallum will replace Edinburgh's Phil Burleigh and Glasgow Warriors' Gordon Reid in the squad after they sustained injuries during their club's pre-season friendly against Sale Sharks and Ealing Trailfinders respectively on Friday.

Scotland are currently in St Andrews for a two-day training camp that kick started on Sunday and will take on Samoa, New Zealand and Australia in the upcoming autumn internationals following which they will feature in the Six Nations 2018 tournament.
