Saracens lock Nick Isiekwe to undergo surgery

 

Saracens lock Nick Isiekwe is set to be sidelined for "several months" as he is set to undergo a surgery this week.

A statement by the club revealed that the 24-year-old had "a routine appointment and after discussion with a consultant it has been recommended to carry out a procedure."

A product of Saracens academy, Isiekwe made his senior debut in 2016 and has played more than 100 times for the club. He also had a brief loan stint with Northampton Saints.

He made his Test debut for England in 2017 and has eight caps to his name.

Saracens will kick-start the 2022/23 season of the Gallagher Premiership with a clash against Harlequins at Twickenham Stoop on 17th September.
