Sale make Saturday switch

From the start of next season, Sale Sharks will stage their home matches at the AJ Bell Stadium at 2pm on Saturdays.

Since 2002, Sale have played their home matches on Friday nights but falling attendances have prompted the switch to Saturdays.

"This decision will not be popular for everybody but we ask our fans to continue to support us as we believe that the decision is in the best interests of the club at this time," Sale chairman Gordon McKie said.
