Northampton Saints 50 - 10 Scarlets

Northampton Saints ran an eight try riot as they trounced Scarlets with a 50-10 triumph to remain in contention for the semi-finals of Anglo-Welsh Cup.

Fly-half Billy McBryde got Scarlets off the mark with a third minute penalty but Newcastle Falcons responded back with a try from Ben Foden three minutes later.

Wing Tom Williams brought the Welsh regional side back into the lead when he went past the line in the 11th minute which was followed by a conversion from McBryde.

However, it was total dominance from Northampton Saints as flanker Jamie Gibson (16'), Foden (26') and lock Michael Paterson (39') crossed over while fly-half Stephen Myler added extras on two occasions to take the home side to 24-10 lead at half-time.

Centre Harry Mallinder (43') and wing Ken Pisi (48') extended Northampton Saints into the second half as the lead swelled to 21 points following which replacement James Fish capped off a fantastic game for the Aviva Premiership club with a try in 54th and 79th minute respectively to secure a 50-10 victory.

Northampton Saints have taken the pole position in Pool 1 with the win while Scarlets find themselves at the third position in Pool 4.
