Scotland wing Lee Jones is among nine players to leave Edinburgh at the end of this season when their current contracts expire.

Jones leaves for pastures new after 57 appearances for the capital club, while former New Zealand centre Ben Atiga, 31, has announced his retirement after two years as an Edinburgh player.

Georgia back-row Dimitri Basilaia, scrum-halves Chris Leck and Alex Black, locks Perry Parker and Robert McAlpine and front-row forwards Lewis Niven and Alun Walker also leave Murrayfield at the end of the season.

Edinburgh head coach Alan Solomons said: "Everyone at Edinburgh Rugby would like to thank all these players for their contribution to the club and wish them all the very best in the next stage of their careers."

Jones signed for Edinburgh after impressing with Scotland sevens and Selkirk, graduating to the Scotland team in the 2012 RBS 6 Nations. He has four caps.
