New Zealand head coach Ian Foster has recalled veteran scrum half TJ Perenara in the squad ahead of the upcoming autumn international fixture against Scotland.

The 30-year-old replaces Brad Weber in the squad after the latter played 13 minutes after coming off the bench during their win over Wales last weekend. Weber will now link up with the All Blacks XV squad that will play Barbarians in London.

Meanwhile, Perenara has played 78 Tests for the All Blacks and last played for them a year back when they faced Ireland in Dublin. He was also part of the 2015 World Cup winning squad of the All Blacks.

Perenara was recently part of All Blacks XV squad that defeated Ireland A 47-19 in Dublin and now has been handed a lifeline with the World Cup scheduled next year in France.

"We're bringing TJ over to us to replace Brad -- there was a predetermined plan to give both a couple of weeks with us (in the All Blacks squad)," said Foster.

New Zealand will be facing Scotland next on 13th November at Murrayfield Stadium followed by a clash against England at Twickenham Stadium on 19th November.
