England's injury problem ahead of the autumn internationals seems to be compounding with the latest causality being Leicester flanker Mike Williams.

The Zimbabwe born 24-year-old sustained a broken arm during the training session prior to Leicester Tigers' Aviva Premiership game against Worcester Warriors at Welford Road on Saturday.

Leicester director of rugby Richard Cockerill confirmed that Williams will need up to 12 weeks of rehabilitation which keeps him out of England's November Tests against South Africa, Fiji, Argentina and Australia at Twickenham.

"Mike is in a cast and will take some specialist advice, but it looks like 8-12 weeks and not 4-6 weeks because of the history of the injury," said Cockerill.

"Mike felt he had done something and thought it was just a bang, but the medical guys looked at it and Mike was pulled out before the kick off.

"Mike is bitterly disappointed. You would have thought that had he continued the way he has been doing for the last couple of weeks he would have had a chance to play for England."

Apart from losing James Haskell and Jack Clifford to injuries, Sam Jones was also ruled out of the November Tests last week due to an ankle injury which he sustained in the training camp in Brighton limiting head coach Eddie Jones' choices at openside.
