Bristol Bears have announced that England international Max Malins will rejoin the club in July 2023 after signing a two-year contract.

The 25-year-old made his senior debut with Saracens in 2015 and has represented England at Under 16, Under 18 and Under 20 levels. He has also enjoyed success with England Under 20 during the World Rugby Under 20 Championship.

After a terrific success with Mark McCall's men, Malins joined Bristol on loan between 2020 and 2021, scoring 18 tries in 19 matches during which the club went on to win a maiden European title and a top spot finish in the league table of the Gallagher Premiership.

“I’m delighted to have signed with the Bears. During my loan period, I was made to feel very welcome by the fans, thoroughly enjoyed my rugby and made some good friends. I look forward to returning and hope to carry on where I left off," he told the club's official website.

His England debut came in 2020 during the November game against Georgia in the Autumn Nations Cup and has been capped 14 times.

“Max is already one of the top players in the Gallagher Premiership and he made a huge impact during his loan spell with us at the Bears. We are all looking forward to welcoming him back into our team again," said director of rugby Pat Lam.

Bristol are at fourth place in the Gallagher Premiership with three wins from four matches.
