Max Malins left out as England trim squad to 28 members

England coach Eddie Jones has left out Max Malins from the trimmed 28-man squad ahead of the final round of the Six Nations clash against France.

Malins started for England in all the four matches of the tournament but now has been omitted with Elliot Daly, Louis Lynagh and Joe Marchant in contention for a start at right wing.

Jack Willis, who was called up to the squad earlier after recovering from a knee injury has also been left out along with hooker Jamie Blamire, scrum-half Alex Mitchell, out-half Orlando Bailey and winger Ollie Hassell-Collins.

Sam Underhill has been retained in the squad along with Nic Dolly, who is included in his place as Luke Cowan-Dickie recovers from a knee injury.

England are positioned third in the Six Nations table with two wins from four games.

England's 28-man squad:

Forwards: Alfie Barbeary, Ollie Chessum, Nic Dolly, Alex Dombrandt, Ellis Genge, Jamie George, Joe Heyes, Maro Itoje, Nick Isiekwe, Joe Launchbury, Courtney Lawes, Joe Marler, Sam Simmonds, Kyle Sinckler, Will Stuart and Sam Underhill.

Backs: Elliot Daly, George Ford, George Furbank, Louis Lynagh, Joe Marchant, Luke Northmore, Jack Nowell, Harry Randall, Henry Slade, Marcus Smith, Freddie Steward and Ben Youngs.
