Toulon 29-7 Bath Rugby, Stade Félix Mayol

Toulon have maintained their winning streak in the ongoing European Challenge Cup as they defeated Bath Rugby 29-7 at Stade Félix Mayol on Saturday.

The win means the French side now have 10 points from two matches while Bath are at seventh position after losing both their encounters.

Toulon made a head start to the game as Dan Biggar landed a penalty goal in the 7th minute before the former Northampton fly-half set up Jiuta Wainiqolo for the opening try that came in the 14th minute. Biggar also kicked the conversion to extend their lead to 10 points.

Jules Danglot managed to overcome a grubber kick from Joe Cokanasiga to save a try for Toulon but few minutes later Maëlan Rabut touched down in the 23rd minute and just before the break Bruce Devaux dived from close range for their third try. Biggar kicked both the conversions as Toulon completed the opening half with 24 unanswered points.

Toulon extended the momentum into the second half as Gervais Cordin dotted down to help them claim the bonus point but Biggar missed out on the conversion.

The start of the final 10 minutes saw Baptiste Serin sin binned for a deliberate knock on providing Bath an opportunity which they immediately made use as Tom Doughty went over at the back of a maul but that did not stop Toulon from completing a convincing win.
