Saracens 35-3 Exeter Chiefs, Stonex Stadium

Saracens have consolidated their position at the top of the table following a crushing 35-3 victory over Exeter Chiefs in the 14th round of the Gallagher Premiership at StoneX Stadium on Saturday.

They now have 10 wins from 11 games as they have stretched their lead over second placed Sale Sharks by 10 points while Exeter are at sixth place.

Saracens opened their account early in the 9th minute as Andy Christie grabbed a pass from Mako Vunipola to dive from close range and Owen Farrell followed it with a conversion to make it 7-0.

Jack Nowell looked threatening to score Exeter's first try as he ended just inside the 22 before Sean Maitland took him down but shortly the visitors were handed a penalty chance which Joe Simmonds kicked in the 20th minute to reduce the gap.

Saracens stretched their lead further as Sean Maitland dived in the corner. Farrell missed out on the conversion but made amends at the stroke of half time when he improved Marco Riccioni's try as Mark McCall's men completed the opening half with a 19-3 lead.

The lead grew further just four minutes after the restart, a string of penalties gave Farrell an easy three points from the tee to edge and he followed it with another three pointer to make it 25-3 by the 50th minute.

The bonus point came in the 72nd minute as Alex Lewington collected a pass from Farrell to dot down and Nick Tompkins followed the suit in the closing stage as Saracens completed a convincing victory.
