Saracens 38-15 Northampton, StoneX Stadium

Saracens have progressed to the final of the Gallagher Premiership as they defeated Northampton Saints 38-15 in the semi-final at StoneX Stadium on Saturday.

Mark McCall's men now will be eyeing their sixth title when they face the winner of the second semi-final between Leicester and Sale on Sunday.

Saracens got off to a promising start as Alex Goode created the space for Sean Maitland to touchdown in the fifth minute following which Fin Smith kicked a penalty goal to start the proceedings for the Saints.

Maitland repeated the heroics in the 21st minute as he capitalised on a grubber kick from Andy Farrell to crossover in the 21st minute. Farrell kicked both the conversions as Saracens raced to 14 points.

Around the half hour mark, Ivan van Zyl opted for a quick tap penalty to go over the line and once again Farrell got the conversion right as McCall's men went into the break with a 21-3 lead.

Saracens were the quickest to get off the block in the second half with a penalty goal from Farrell but Northampton clawed their way back into the game with back to back tries from Alex Mitchell and James Ramm as the scoreline became 24-15.

As the game entered the final 10 minutes, Northampton lost Tom James to sin-bin for entering a maul illegally that also resulted in a penalty try for the hosts before Elliot Daly released Max Malins for their fifth try as Saracens secured a berth in the final of the campaign.
