Ulster 39 - 32 Clermont Auvergne, Kingspan Stadium
Scorecard

Luke Marshall scored a double as Paddy Jackson contributed 19 points to his side's 39-32 bonus-point win over Clermont at the Kingspan Stadium on Saturday to keep their European Champions Cup hopes alive.

Apart from outside-centre Marshall's double (6, 44), blindside-flanker Iain Henderson (15), fly-half Jackson (34) and fullback Charles Piutau (53) scored a try each for their side.

Jackson also added 14 valuable points off the tee which included four conversions and a couple of penalties.

For the Top 14 leaders, number-8 Peceli Yato (1), fullback Scott Spedding (30), left-wing Nick Abendanon (62) and blindside-flanker Damien Chouly (73) crossed over the try line.

Scrum-half Morgan Parra managed to convert three out of four tries in addition to scoring a couple of three-pointers.

Replacement tighthead-prop Rodney Ah You's 74th minute yellow had opened a window of opportunity for the visitors, however, Les Kiss' men held on to their 7-point lead to secure a much needed victory.

The two sides will meet once again on 18th December for the next Pool 5 clash as this time the French side will enjoy the home advantage.
