London Irish have announced that lock George Nott has signed a new deal with the Gallagher Premiership club.

Nott graduated from Sale Sharks Academy and went on to make his senior debut with the club in 2014 and has gone on to make 14 Premiership appearances for them and also had loan stints with Chester and Fylde.

“I am really enjoying working with the squad, coaches and staff and can’t wait for next season. The direction of the Club is very exciting," he told the club's official website.

Nott was also a member of the England Under 20 side that went on to win the World Rugby Under 20 Championship in 2016 when they defeated Ireland in the final.

London Irish director of rugby Declan Kidney is delighted with Nott has committed his immediate future with the club.

“George has been a great addition ever since he arrived at Hazelwood, both on and off the field” he said.

“He is a great role model for the younger members of the squad and is a good voice in the changing room. We are very happy that George has agreed to continue with us.”
