We take a look at the top performers from this weekend's 6 Nations matches and showcase the British & Irish Lions contenders

15 Leigh Halfpenny (Wales) - Passed 600 points for Wales as he produced his best performance of this season's tournament.

14 George North (Wales) - 102m metres made in a game with such tight exchanges is commendable along with 2 tries to his name.

13 Jonathan Joseph (England) - Came out firing after being 'dropped' against Italy. Danced and tourmented the Scottish defense throughout the game.

12 Owen Farrell (England) - Shrugged off any concern over his leg, kicking on point, passing as accurate as you could want, releasing his team-mates into space.

11 Anthony Watson (England) - When you have such a potent backline it's hard not to look good, put himself in the right positions on and off the wing.

10 George Ford (England) - England's magician who pulled the strings to good effect, flourishing in his partnership with Farrell.

9 Rhys Webb (Wales) - His man-of-the-match performance even more impressive against fellow Lion's no.9 contender Murray, outplayed him completely. Great vision.

8 Ross Moriarty (Wales) - The most carries made in the game where ever metre was prescious, monstrous collisions too in his defensive duties.

7 Justin Tipuric (Wales) - Edges out Haskell narrowly, but Tipuric is fast becoming a shoe in for the Lion's 7 jersey, a natural footballer aswell as a workhorse.

6 Sam Warburton (Wales) - Worked well alongside Tipuric, getting through plenty of work around the park in a game full of defense.

5 Courtney Lawes (England) - Lead the way in England's line-out operations, carried and tackled like a man possessed.

4 Joe Launchbury (England) - a colossal 22 tackles made, dominant force on the pitch making his presense felt throughout the 80mins.

3 Tom Francis (Wales) - A strong performance by the Exeter prop, growing into test rugby, solid at set-peice against ireland's best.

2 Dylan Hartley (England) - Huge nod goes to Ken Owens, but in a game with so much riding on it Hartley stood up as captain, leading by example.

1 Joe Marler (England) - Dominated his opposite man at set-peice and carried well in the loose, a great 50th test apearance for the Quin.
