Edinburgh 20 - 33 Leinster

Leinster survived a determined Edinburgh's second-half reprisal attempt to secure a 20-33 bonus-point win at the Murrayfield Stadium during the Pro12 clash on Friday.

Isa Nacewa and his side took a solid 18-point lead at the end of the first-half to take a firm grasp on the outcome of the match. However, the Scottish side made an admirable counter attack to reduce the margin of defeat down to just six points before conceding a try on the penultimate minute of the match.

The Irish side ran five tries whereas the hosts managed to score just three in response out of which two came in the second-half.

Flanker Dan Leavy (12, 79), centre Garry Ringrose (18), wing Nacewa (24) and scrum-half Jamison Gibson-Park (35) contributed to the try tally for the visitors.

Nacewa managed to convert four out of the five tries to stretch his overall points haul for the match to 13 points.

Wing Mike Allen (1) got off Alan Solomons' side to a great start. However, the Scots failed to score any further try in the first-half and baring fly-half Duncan Weir's penalty, Grant Gilchrist and his men failed to contribute to their points tally for the rest of the half.

Flanker duo Hamish Watson (47) and Magnus Bradbury (73) scored timely tries to keep the home team within contention, however, the Irish managed to hold onto a sizable 13 points lead by the full-time whistle.

With two wins from three matches, Leinster are now positioned fifth on the 2016-17 Pro12 points table.
