Leicester Tigers add Danny Wilson to coaching panel

Leicester Tigers have confirmed the appointment of former Glasgow coach Danny Wilson as a part-time consultant for the remainder of the 2022/23 season.

Wilson was recently part of Glasgow Warriors but was removed from his role last summer. He will be switching to Harlequins ahead of the 2023/24 season as their line out coach but will be spending time with the Tigers for the remainder of the ongoing campaign.

“Danny is an experienced coach who will be a great addition to our team and club,

“His detail on forwards and line outs is something that we are pleased to add to our group for the remainder of the season.”

Wilson also worked with Scotland as forwards coach and was part of their 2019 World Cup campaign. He was also the Head Coach of Wales Under-20s in 2012.

Earlier, former Leicester boss Steve Borthwick and defence coach Kevin Sinfield left the club to take in charge of England leading to the World Cup following which Richard Wigglesworth was appointed the interim coach.
