Rugby Football Union (RFU) has handed a two-week suspension to Exeter Chiefs lock Jonathan Hill following his red-card incident during the recently concluded Aviva Premiership encounter against Wasps.
The incident happened during the 46th minute of the game when the 22-year-old was sent-off by referee Greg Garner when he struck the head of Wasps flanker Ashley Johnson with his shoulder.
After appearing in front of a disciplinary panel headed by Daniel White, Hill accepted the charge and pleaded guilty.
"The contact to Ashley Johnson's head was reckless but caused no injury," said White in a statement issued by RFU.
"In line with the new sanction table, judicial officers are required to apply a mid-range entry point.
"The player received credit for his guilty plea and clean record."
Despite, being one-man down for most part of the second half, Exeter Chiefs managed a 35-35 draw in their clash against Wasps.
