England Under 20 international Joe Cokanasiga has penned a new four-year deal with Aviva Premiership club London Irish.

The 6 ft 4inches winger was a part of England's senior squad in their recently concluded tour of Argentina tour in June and helped the London Irish in their immediate return to the top tier after scoring five tries in 12 games in the previous season.

Cokanasiga was a part of the Grand Slam winning England team in the 2017 Six Nations U20 tournament after he made his debut against France and joined London Irish in 2016.

Pleased with the support, he received from London Irish, Cokanasiga is looking forward for a successful stint with the Exiles.

"I’ve been at Irish since the age of 16 and they have looked after me from the moment I joined the club. I’m really grateful to the coaches for giving me my chance in the first team and I want to repay them for the faith they have shown in me.

"I’m excited at the prospect of playing in the Premiership and I’ll be working extremely hard to put myself in contention for selection."

London Irish boss Nick Kennedy believes Cokanasiga will have a bright future.

"Joe is a fantastic prospect for London Irish who leads the way with his work rate both on and off the pitch.

"As a club, we’re delighted that Joe wants to be part of London Irish’s long-term future and his decision to re-sign is a massive boost for the club as we continue to create a pathway for our brightest talents."
