Scorecard

Sale Sharks ran a five try riot as they thrashed London Irish with a 36-7 bonus point victory in their Aviva Premiership encounter AJ Bell Stadium on Friday.

After the first 10 minutes in the second half went without a point, London Irish had to play the most part of the remainder of the game with one man down as Blair Cowan was sin binned in the 54th minute and 13 minutes later, he was red-carded.

Josh Charnley (55') crossed over the line just before the end of the third quarter to secure the bonus point and 14 minutes later Mark Jennings too strolled past the post as Sale Sharks completed a 29 point victory despite London Irish were awarded a penalty try in the 65th minute, which remained their only points in the game.

London Irish are positioned 10th in the table while Sale Sharks move to sixth position after registering their maiden win this season.
