Edinburgh have confirmed that Scotland international Jamie Bhatti will join the Pro14 club from rivals Glasgow Warriors at the end of the ongoing season.

The 25-year-old loosehead prop has been with the Warriors since 2016 and has also represented Ayr in 2018. Bhatti said the discussion he had with Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill convinced him of the move to the BT Murrayfield Stadium.

"I've really enjoyed my three years at Glasgow Warriors and want to thank the coaches and staff that I worked with at Scotstoun," he told the club's official website.

"I met with Richard Cockerill and liked what he had to say about the opportunity at Edinburgh.

"There's a great squad already in place, that are all pulling in the same direction, and I'm excited to be a part of that for the next two seasons."

Bhatti has played 13 Tests for Scotland since his debut that came during November 2017 while his last appearance for the Dark Blues came during the Six Nations encounter against Ireland last month.
