Scorecard

Nicolas Sanchez kicked 24 points as Jaguares stretched their winning streak to five following a 54-24 bonus point victory against Bulls in their Super Rugby encounter at Estadio Jose Amalfitani.

The win has taken Jaguares to the second position in South African Conference which also has Bulls at fourth place.

Jaguares thought they scored in the first two minutes when Agustin Creevy crossed over but was denied by TMO for a knock-on. However, they got their first points on the board four minutes later when Sanchez contributed with a converted try to take them to a 7-0 lead.

The response from Bulls came in the 12th minute when Warrick Gelant touched down and a conversion from Handre Pollard helped them level the scores. Sanchez kicked back to back penalties to take the scoreline to 13-7 before a three pointer from Pollard cut down the gap to three points.

Just as the half time was approaching, Bautista Delguy capitalised on a kick from Sanchez and the fly-half's conversion meant the home side headed into the break with a 20-10 lead.

Jaguares had the momentum heading into the second half with Marcos Kremer (48'), Bautista Delguy (55') and Matias Orlando (62') all scoring tries and Sanchez kicked two conversions and a penalty to put them in a dominant position of 42-10.

It took 30 minutes in the second half for the visitors to get their first points when Nic de Jager crashed past the post but Sebastian Cancelliere negated his efforts. Despite a 77th minute sin-bin to Juan Cruz Mallia, Emiliano Boffelli scored another try in the closing stage to seal a 30 point victory for Jaguares.
